Kurrajong Vineyard logo

Kurrajong Vineyard is located on popular Hermitage Road, Pokolbin - in the heart of Australia's first wine region, the Hunter Valley. Our family vineyard offers affordable, self-catered accommodation in two private self-contained 2-bedroom cottages as well as bed and breakfast accommodation in our large 1-bedroom suite attached to the homestead.

Our working 25 acre vineyard includes plantings of Verdehlo, Semillon, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These vines have produced fine still white and red wines, as well as a delightful Sparkling Semillon. From July you can sample and buy our wines at the Hunter Valley Winegrowers Centre near to us (this is a great place, see our news page for more details).

When visiting Hunter Valley Wine Country stay with us, stroll amongst the vines, swim in the pool, or just relax with a glass of one of our classic wines. With other vineyards, cellar doors, restaurants and cafes all nearby on Hermitage Road you don't have far to go if you want to explore the best of Pokolbin's many attractions. If you are visiting the Hunter Valley for a concert, we are close to all the venues, and shuttle buses stop by our front gate if you don't want to drive.

Fruit Set in the Vineyard

After flowering the fruit has to "set" on the vines. This is a crucial stage, it will determine the amount of crop we will have this vintage.
